Low Tide at Golden Gardens

Today was a cold and damp Spring (almost summer) day - but it was also a VERY low tide day. Sierra and Olivia and I decided to brave the weather and head to Golden Gardens - one of our very favorite parks/beaches. It's always interesting to see the low tides - to walk far out into where the ocean normally is. It was also a time to acknowledge the sadness the girls were feeling - a chance to stand quietly in the damp wind, to watch them write about their dad into the sand, to appreciate life and its beauty even during this time of grief, and a time to just watch my girls hold each other and cry quietly.
